Shel Silverstein

If you are a dreamer, come in

If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,

a hope-er a pray-er, a magic bean buyer...

If you are a pretender, come sit by my fire

For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.

Come in! Come in!

In light of recent discoveries.

As stated before I was researching vigorously the art, the elements (or what you will) of writing. I now know the art of writing a romance, a drama, an adventure in which there will be tension, nail chewing suspense and mild comedy--all I have to do is practice. Practice, another word I don't like...but presently I can't bring myself to mind it because it means...
wait for it....

I have to write a story! To test out all those theories I learned :D
So thus begins operation story elements...and stuff, in which I will document my writing of a brand, spanking new story. I will give out writing tips and blog about things I learn along the way. Sound fun? I hope so.

So here is what the story is going to be about.
It's the cross between a dark and light romance; a little Gothic but then again that is to be expected of a Vampiric novel. A bit dramatic, that is just my preference, a little humorous too because flat out dramas...well they're dramatic! :P

However there is one thing I want to make sure of before going on this journey, I hope you haven't got it in your heads that the Vampire is good??
No, no, this story shall be original, and to achieve that it must be traditional. Because lets face it how many books out there have a Vampire that is actually evil? as stated in the definition?
A person, such as an extortionist, who preys upon others.
Yes, the vampire will be the love interest but he is not in any way shape or form good!

Vice is a monster of so frightful mien, As to be hated needs but to be seen; Yet seen too oft, familiar with her face, we first endure, then pity, then embrace
-Alexander Pope

Have I intrigued you? Do you wish to come on this journey with me?

  1. Couldn't the vampire be a bit good? A purely evil thing can't be that interesting, but a tortured being... well, that's interesting I think.
